Having spent the 1994-5 academic year studying Scottish History at the University of Dundee with Professor Chris Whatley , I became entranced by Scottish politics, and the nationalism which plays such a large role in it. I then wrote four papers as part of an in-depth look at Scottish nationalism and politics during my senior year (1995-6) at Trent University with Professor (now Emeritus) Joseph Wearing.
